3) Cold war- A series of conflicts that led to an almost childish media war where both sides would mainly point fingers while shouting out accusations and threats.

2) The soviets would follow the freedom from fear and freedom from want, but would think that the freedom of speech is unimportant.

2) I think that the Marshal plan is criticized in all of the sources basically saying that it would be taking way too much money from the U.S.A

3) No they dont because they are just drawings they don't give any real facts about Marshall plan, they only criticize it while giving very little information on the matter.

Focus) President Truman has been lending countries all over Europe Billions of dollars in the hopes of preventing another "worldwide slump". He is allowing countries to rebuild and gain power once again. While he is doing this he is constantly spreading word of how communism must be stopped. The Truman Doctrine could cause some serious problems for us for an example the Doctrine could cause problems for us obtaining new allies.

optimists and pessimists

1. signs that progress has been made

♦In 1954 southern schools were integrated.

♦In 1956 after the bus boycott Montgomery's bus laws became illegal.

♦In Nashville (1960) the town became desegregated.

2. signs that progress hasn't been made

♦people were still just as violent if not more towards black people especially towards protesters.

♦protesters were getting expelled from their colleges.

♦racism was still a major problem whether or not black people could ride the bus's or be served at a restaurant.

I think that there is more progression then regression because there has been racism problems in the U.S. for hundreds of years and in about 50 years the way people saw black people was changing quickly. Black people could be served in restaurants, ride the buses and over 60% were registered to vote. Even though the changes seemed small compared to how much still needed to be changed, the fact that so many changes were made in such a short period of time is enough to say that there is some major progression.

If i were to write an article of the containment camps during the war i would feel obligated to write about the positive things in the camps. If people are already fighting a war outside the country it would just be another problem to add the the pile because it could start a political/media war and people in the country might turn on the Government and be less likely to support the war effort which includes enlisting, investing and donating supplies for war crafts, guns and supplies.
